Upside-down Clothing

Every year we come across new fashion trends, and now with the help of the internet, people are more aware of what everyone is wearing everywhere across the globe. We will be looking at some of them, while we think to ourselves, what did we like, and what we did not. And, why not rate them? Let’s begin! 

Upside-down clothing is a type of fashion trend, commonly of the year 2022, where clothes are worn in a way that the top and bottom parts are reversed. This style has become popular in recent years with many designers experimenting with the concept in their collections.

Some examples include tops with the collar at the waist and bottoms with pockets on the shoulders. We are so used to the right ways, that imagining a pair of jeans being upside-down, or a jacket being inside-out, will make us look like we forgot to look in the mirror before leaving our houses.

But that is not the case always. It can look good sometimes, when styled properly, or when it has some sort of element to it which stands out, taking our attention away from the loose thread and stitching which is a part of the clothing item, or the unnecessary pockets added at random places. Upside-down clothing can be a playful and creative way to express oneself through fashion. However, it may not be practical for everyday wear or certain occasions.

If you ask me, I will rate this trend a 5. It may look good, but depends on the person wearing it and how they carry it. Not everyone has the talent to pull off a playful trend, like jeans made into a dress, a dress flowing upwards instead of down, or jeans that are worn with backside being at the front.
